Okkkkkkk [09 Aug 2005|04:42pm]

[ mood | busy ]

Here is a link to the new site I am making for me and Kurt. It obviously won't be up and running until after the weekend because that's when the wedding is over. Hopefully by the end of next week I will have my wedding pictures back and then the site will be fully operational=) I do however have a cool ITG 2 song on the website that I like a lot LOL. You all can go listen to it if you want. Ciao!

The Wedding Webpage

What to do... [08 Aug 2005|08:19pm]

[ mood | contemplative ]

With only 5 days until the big day, I am debating what I want to do with this community lol. I'm either going to close it and make a real webpage with wedding pictures when I get them back, or I am going to keep it open with a link to that webpage in this community. I haven't really decided yet..but something will come to me. Everything is pretty much done with the exception of a few more decorations I need to buy. We got our marriage license today so thats good............

2 weeks and 5 days until the big day..scary....

We got pretty much everything with the wedding done and I am so relieved.
Why hasn't the dj called us yet? He better do that soon or we are in trouble:|

According to the knot, this is what we have left to do before the big day....

Brides: Attend final wedding-gown fitting.

Finish and print ceremony programs.

Work on a list of "must-play" (and "must-not play") songs for your DJ or band.

Get marriage license and make appointments for blood tests (if necessary). Check when the license expires.

Have a follow-up meeting or phone call with the officiant to go over ceremony timing and details.

Do paperwork for official documents if you are changing your name.

Work out wedding day timing and details (who will get the bride there, where the wedding party will dress, etc) and draw up a schedule.

Call or email wedding party to relay critical info related to rehearsal and wedding (dates, times, directions, duties).

Brides: Pick up your gown.

Confirm head count, delivery time, and location with the cakemaker.

Call guests who haven't R.S.V.P.'d for the wedding and rehearsal dinner (it’s okay to do this, you need a final head count!).

Determine any wedding day assignments for members of the wedding party, and make lists/info sheets as needed.

Call location manager and make sure your vendors all have access to the site when they need it.

Confirm all final payment amounts with your vendors.

Grooms: Get your final haircut.

Plan any additional night-before activities with friends and/or attendants.

Touch base with your officiant and give him/her rehearsal details and wedding day schedule.

Confirm delivery locations, times, and final arrangement count with florist.

Grooms: Pick up your tux and try it on. (Don't wait until the day of to do this!)

Distribute wedding-day directions, schedule, and contact list to all parents, attendants, and vendors.

Designate who will meet, greet, and handle each vendor on the wedding day.

Put together an overnight bag for your wedding night (toothbrush, sexy lingerie, etc.) and designate someone to deliver it to the hotel for you.

Brides: Get a manicure and pedicure and confirm big-day beauty appointments.

Designate someone to collect the wedding gifts (and any cash) brought to the party.

Confirm date, location, time, and playlist with band/DJ and/or ceremony or cocktail hour musicians.

Put final payments and cash tips in marked envelopes and give to a designated family or friend to distribute on the wedding day.

Drop off favors, guest book, and pen at the reception site.

Have fun and relax at your rehearsal dinner.

Rehearse the ceremony with officiant and wedding party.

Omg, I totally forget about getting a marriage license...LMAO thats bad..me and kurt need to do that^_^ Anyone have 50 bucks?^_^

I FUCKING LOVE YOU BABY!! Can't wait until you are my wife. *kisses*

The List [12 Jul 2005|09:07pm]

[ mood | annoyed ]

List of things that still need to be done before the big day, in order of importance:

-Send dj deposit of 50.00
-order cocktail napkins for 49.56
-buy wedding rings. who knows for how much
-call about limosuines and how much thats going to cost
-pay for flowers which is 75.00

Rehersal Dinner planning is taken care of, and so is the hotel room for our wedding night. That's costing us 119.00, but doesn't have to be paid until then, which is awesome! I also need to pick up a guestbook, a cake topper, an aisle runner, and everything I need to make reception and ceremony decorations. So, ultimatly we will be spending 343.56 on the dj deposit, cocktail napkins, flowers, and hotel room. This hurts....
